Hi, My account was banned on CJ. I had account about 12 years. "CJ has determined that you are promoting advertisers on a site (or possibly multiple sites) that contains objectionable content (including, but not limited to content that is misleading, libelous, defamatory, obscene, violent, bigoted, hate-oriented, illegal, and/or promoting illegal goods, services or activities). Such conduct is in violation of the CJ Publisher Service Agreement you agreed to follow." I asked about details. "We found several clicks generating from sites with objectionable content, which is a violation of the CJ PSA. The following is an example of the objectionable URLs: <here adult link> I replied them that I never put any add on adult related websites. The website is not mine. (I never was owner of any adult site). They said links are associated with my website, coming from my website. "Whatever third-parties you use to drive traffic to your site, whether they have adult content are not, are the likely reason this is happening. CJ has exercised its right to remove your account from the network due to the presence of these adult URLs." I think that someone took my code and placed on adult site. End of story. Anyone had a same situation?
Today they sent me $16. I can't update ticket, seems they removed ticket and my email address from CJ Support.
I had the exact same thing happen to me and reapplied and got another account. I would try that and start anew. Jinx
I hate the affiliates, especially ones that "ban" and keep your money. I also am firmly against the minimum payout and decaying balance rules. These are scams that should be legislated against.
Bad story! Keep try push and convince him your site is pure. Then, till eventually, if he doesn't change his mind. You re-sign up again for getting new account. Please update us how is yours issue go on.
I have no access to ticket. I made only screenshots. They wrote "any attempt to rejoin the CJ platform shall be null and void".
Did you hire anyone to perform SEO services for you recently or in the past? If so, you definitely should request a report from them to see where they linked your sites to because if CJ is picking up on those links from adult sites, they must have been placed there by someone. Let us know.
Sorry to hear about this! It tells me to always hide my affiliate links so that nobody can steal them and perform same trick on me! This could be a weapon that anyone could use to bring someone's account down.
I'm sorry man that sounds pretty bad. I'm a newbie here so I don't really know what to say other than don't give up and persevere.
So you explained to them that the adult site is nothing to do with you and they STILL banned you? Sounds like you are better off without a poor network like that. I know it won't get your money back, but I'd take this as a way of leaving their crappy network and moving to a more reliable one.
You are absolutely right. Networks are getting away with murder pulling these scams! I really hate that this happened to you. I realized years back that CJ was nothing but a well-oiled SCAM! They have this internal messaging system in place so that they can control communications and block you from retaining proof of communications or any other proof. They have every single thing angled in their favor to cover their butts! But one time they banned my account out of the blue for no reason at all. They gave me some story about the advertiser complained blah bah this & blah blah that. But I didn't believe them one bit. They even gave me an exact name of the person the advertiser rep they supposedly spoke to. So I decided to go over their heads and contact this person directly. And you know what?... The advertiser said that they NEVER complained and that NO ONE from Commission Junction has ever even contacted them about these so-called issues. Needless to say I ended up getting my payment IN FULL after contacting that advertiser directly - and that day it really opened my eyes to how scammy CJ and many other affiliate networks are. Many of these affiliate networks are just wolves in sheep's clothing - they are scam artist hiding behind these operations just to get away with mass theft!
Some really crazy things happen in this virtual landscape. Thanks for sharing your experience. And, for all the added input on the subject. We've experienced equally as questionable practices and draconian responses to our evidence. Sorry to hear about your efforts being wasted. Consider it paying dues and continue to do your best. It will come back around to you.
