Suggestion Banned (mistakenly?), no way to contact mods

So, this is the first time for me to log back into Digitalpoint after my 1 or two month ban, I forget. Anyway, the ban happened and the reason given was "duplicate account". I suppose this is because someone else in our office created a Digitalpoint account, and since we are on the same network, DP assumed it was the same person. We actually have three people in the office that use Digitalpoint.

    Suggestions:

    1. It would be great if I don't get banned again when I recommend this forum to someone else in our office.

    2. It would be great if, when I inevitably get banned again because someone new in the office decides to join this forum, if Digitalpoint allows me to contact the mod who banned me so I can try to explain that there is some mistake.

    Thanks!

To avoid problems when more than one person works for the same company, PM a mod with UserID and and name of each worker we can place in user notes for each member.

That seems like an extra hassle. I don't know if anyone else in my office uses this. This seems like a system that can easily make mistakes. I agree with abbynormal1. I think there should be a method to contact an admin. Maybe for this type of infraction, the person should be notified prior to being banned.

These bans are ridiculous. The only reason anyone gets banned is because of the incompetent moderators on this forum.

IP matches used to be used when researching duplicate accounts but are less reliable these days. I'd be astounded if anyone was banned from any forum these days based on IP. However its still a good idea to send us a quick pm to explain that "domain X.com is used by my company and anyone who signs up as y@x.com is staff" we'll read that and take it into account.

Don't make the mistake of having one account per business you want to promote. Your account is personal and is yours and yours alone. Don't share it and remember it represents you - not your site or business. You can promote them but if you leave your employer the account stays with you and can't be used by your replacement.
