One of my site just got banned today. Besides following the webmaster guidelines, does anyone have recommendation on how to get it un-banned? I am going to spend sometime to raise the quality of the website and remove some posts. But, any other trick to clean up the website before I submit the re-inclusion request?

Exactly what kind of site would you have that Google felt it had to be banned? Plus if they got you once then you know theyre going to get you again.

If you get indexed and then at some point after that you are not indexed then you've been banned. Its as simple as that. You can check whether you're indexed in google by site:www.yourdomain.com

Your site isn't banned its just in a black list of non-spidered sites. As soon as other search engines start pulling your content, google will revert back to spidering your content after 6 months.

Another way to stop the " ban " is to leave the site registered but down for 3 months. Then google will reset its thingie mah bob.

Request for re inclusion of your site and don't publish the same old content as you might face the plenty again .

I've been hearing so much about Google Banning lately. Mostly about Adsense bans most recently. I have so much relying on my Google search rankings. It's so scary to know how easily they can put my business in the trash.

My first goal was to be #1 for my keyword. Now my goal is to figure out how to generate nearly as much traffic without relying on the Big G at all. It's a far bigger challenge than getting ranked in the first place.

I have bought a URL in the past that was previously banned by G. I tried to contact them and sort the matter out but I got no where. I purchased another url with a similar name (.net this time ) and stuck my site up on that and fogot about the banned URL for a couple of months or so. It was just sitting there in my PC gathering dust so I stuck some content on it , did some backlinking to the site from my other one and resubmitted the URL for indexing.. It was indexed within a week and now proudly sits above the other (.net) site on page one!!

So maybe the comment from FavoritesBlog "Another way to stop the " ban " is to leave the site registered but down for 3 months. Then google will reset its thingie mah bob." is on the money..

    Best of luck anyway
