Banned, interdit, verboden -- what the f*#@ H!

I recently purchased a number of domains and have parked them temporarily at Parked. When I go to the sites, many of them don't work properly. Instead, a page comes up with the following words displayed at the top:

banned interdit verboden vietato prohibido verboden banned vietato interdit proibido vietato interdit verboden banned prohibido

Has anybody seen this before? What the heck is going on? Parked says it doesn't know and a call to the help desk of my ISP (Sympatico.ca) resolved nothing. I spoke to them on Monday and they said they'd look into it and get back to me. Still waiting.

Here are a couple of the sites that are doing this: stagknife.com, bargainairlinefares.com

Please let me know if you can see the actual site of if you get the banned, etc. page.

Any information that would help me resolve this would be appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    drofwarc

I think it means your internet provider has blocked them from you.

Thanks everybody -- I guess I'll have to wait to see what my provider says. It's weird. Has anybody seen this kind of message on a banned/blocked site before? I wonder if this is a common or standard message, or if it's something only my provider does?

I used to use Sympatico.ca (high speed DSL) and found they were awful...

if ithis type of stuff continues I would seriously consider switching

    Hi Karen,

I've been with Sympatico for years and lived through a number of disruptions, but overall have been satisfied. But this is too much. I still need to find out what the actual problem is, however.

By the way, nice to see you paying tribute to Jeff Healey. He was awesome. What an incredible musical talent, and he also hosted a great jazz program on CBC radio. He was one of a kind.

    Regards,

yes, Jeff Healey was definitely one of a kind. I saw him live once and was blown away.

I hope you get your issues with Sympatico worked out ;)
