Banned in Google, any effect?

Will a ban from the search engine affect CPC? Most of the traffic are not from the search engine since it was sandboxed and now totally gone.

Serps don't have any impact on the adsense pricing algo...

I'd be extremely concerned if a website was banned from the search engine simply because it means a breach of guidelines which in turn points to a breach of Adsense TOS and guidelines. This can lead to an account being disabled.

I am already extremely concerned, except I don't even know why they banned my site from the search engine. It's 100% clean, and even have a top 5 listing in a category on Alexa.

Are you sure it's banned? Completely removed from the index?

Hmmm. It may be the removal is just a temporary event during the latest update, however, if it is due to something that gets frowned upon such as hidden text, redirects or whatever, you'd be better taking the adsense down until you have made the site 100% compliant.

There are no hidden text, redirects, etc. My traffic doesn't even come from Google, I didn't even do any SEO. All I know is, my earnings are down and that's what is worrying me right now.

Might just be because of the update then. Sometimes when an update is going on, they use older data for a time. Best thing to do then is adopt a 'wait and see' policy.

I've seen some of my sites drop out of the index entirely until the next update and then get reincluded ... more so on Yahoo than Google. Nothing wrong with the sites; 100% search engine compliant, they just dropped out until the next update.

This drop off the index is going to affect the CPM advertisers on my site, income rapidly dropping! I have to make twice as much sites to make up for the lost revenue!

Something very strange is going on with Google. One of my sites, www.webs4christ.com, went from PR 5 to PR 0 and is not in google's indexes at ALL.

I've never done cloaking, k/w stuffing, redirecting (except from dead pages to their replacement), or anything even marginally suspect. (to the best of my knowledge)

This happened late night on Thursday. I was running Web CEO for specific k/w phrases and the site was ranked, (though lower than it had been 2 weeks previously). I then ran another set of k/w for rank checking and all of the sudden the site was completely gone from Google. I went to Google and did site:webs4christ.com and nada... Two weeks ago Google had over 15,000 references to the site.

I also have a client site where they are still listed, but have gone from a PR of 3 to a 0 - and again, no questionable SE techniques, no real change to their index page since it was updated with new products....

If this is a result of this dance, how long before it corrects itself?

    peace

Looks like your site is banned, mine is also and I haven't done any cloaking, k/w stuffing, redirecting, or anything even marginally suspect as well. I've asked around, fix the problems and ask for a reinclusion, well what is there to fix?

Might want to check several datacenters and see if you are just missing from some of them.

I checked here and couldn't find you.. but try mcdars tools and see if you can find yourself.

How do I use it to check for my site? My site was never in the top 1000 SERP to begin with.

Man your site is Blacklisted by google.
I see nothing wrong on your site but have noticed that your site reloads itself in every 4-5 seconds. why so?
Perhaps it is one of the reason.
What were your BL status in Google?

I think it's just the banner rotator at work, I don't see anything wrong with the site either unless you spammed?

Yeah its a private in-house banner exchange. Last I looked we had over 5,000 BLs in google with a PR of 5 on our main page. I ran the mcdars tool and nada. I'm gone. We were ranking 8th-14th for our primary KW phrase for over a year now. :(

I'd get it if I used anything questionable, but I'm so darn clean with it all. The added bit of info, which I am not sure is relevant, is I submitted google sitemaps at the beginning of October. Within 5 days of google showing it had accepted and ran them, my ranking dropped from 9th to 39th. Then about 10 days later it just dumped me.

One of my clients is still listed in Google with about 10,000 entries BUT his PR sank from 3 to 0.

Lord this best sort itself out....sighing heavily. I did email google about this, but am not very hopeful for a response.

    peace
