Hey just wondering if anyone has ever had their site banned from stumbleupon because they got other users to stumble for them or purchased stumbles etc?

I've done stumble exchanges here on this forum, and I can't say it's happened to me yet. But it's definitely something to be careful of. However, doesn't SU only ban that one page and not your entire site?

SU will ban/destumble you if your stumbles look gamed. In fact, it's really easy to destumble competition for that reason.

I believe that money is better invested in more traditional means. You get more bang for your buck with backlink generatin/advertising.

So can you arrange to stumble another site in exchage for no cash consideration ? Or will that still get you in trouble ?

I think my blog may have been banned today... not sure why all I did was stumble my own pages, didn;t even request any other stumbles, but it will no longer accept any new stumbles from this domain. I tried other domains and they go through fine, but on this domain it just gives me a blank screen after hitting submit instead of the indication te stumble was accepted :(

SU traffic is quite useless so getting banned by SU is not a biggie IMHO.

not overly great traffic, but with the 10 or so articles I stumbled per day I was getting 2-3 clicks on my adsense. Now I am lost as to how to get traffic:( I think I will have to take some time and familiarize myself with the marketing voards here at dp:)

Just imagine if we submitted and then mass stumbled our competitor's site?
    What would happen then?

If it does get banned, then it is very easy to attack your competitors... Just mass-stumble them and they will be banned! Easy as pie :D
