Yeah. All of these internet services have the dumbest people working at their company. This similar thing happening to my friends PayPal account. He was banned for it and they said because they needed to review his site and never replied.
Thanks for the great post....It seems like my site is indexed but I cant seem to get any good placement for certain key words anymore on MSN. Yes it is affiliate site and I know nobody likes affiliate sites but thats how I make money. What to do.
I have an affiliate site also that I started last month. The home page will not rank for anything (even in the first thousand). The main keyword is ranked at 300 on a subpage instead of the homepage. The subpages rank between 150 and 500 for their keywords which I expected. I have masked the affiliate links - I don't have adsense (But I doubt they would ban a site for adsense). I have redirected the non-www to the www. I have have done both onpage and offpage optimization (many links froim various sites - no ffa or like). No reciprical. BTW, I wrote the content myself - it isn't the best content in the world but certainly informative and useful to visitors. It seems strange to me that the home page would not rank when most of the links point to it. If anyone has any ideas on what I could do or what the problem is I would appreciate it. I have started several sites before with no problems in MSN, but they were not affiliate sites.
MSN usually ranks really fast. I wouldn't worry about it too much except that home page doesn't rank at all. I was just wondering if anyone has seen this phenomenon with the home page. You may be right though. It may take awhile. I do think MSN is getting slower.
I wouldn't bother with MSNDude anymore. It seems that he is not even reading his emails in WMW anymore. His mailbox is full! He probably got tired of all complaints about MSN and gave up the idea of participating or he just don't care anymore
I was wondering what the F had happened to my site! It just disappeared from MSN a few weeks ago - not a trace. I've done nothing wrong as far as I know... I haven't tried to be clever or anything - w@ñ˚kérz
My homepage has just been deindexed from MSN. I never had that happen before with the many other sites I have launched. Anyone else have their home deindexed? If so did anyone find the solution?
Everything is elastic - too much control and filtering will create another demand worse than the problem they are apparently trying to solve. It could be that affiliates are the most likely to pay for PPC and so by driving them out of the index they can still get in if they pay. No one thought of this?
