Banned from MSN, read this

For those of you banned from MSN you might like to know that the old MSN dude has left and the new one is using common sense!

They removed a site of mine about 3 months ago for no reason and today the new msndude sent a PM over at WMW.

If you think your site could be an illegitimate affiliate network or link exchanges then don't expect MSN to add the site anytime soon. On the other hand if its clean then email them or send a PM.

Did you PM him first, asking for explanation and/or re-indexation ?

Because if so, it's strange to have to PM SE's dude on forum to have things put right.

msn is strange search engine . i'm not suprised what they done

 

Try PM him again at WMW.

 

Wow, it's better than yahoo and google, which will ban your site but give no notice to you.

My site is not banned from MSN but my homepage is not appearing from the searches it was a few months ago. When i do a 'site:' search, i can see my pages indexed. Based on your recent communication with MSN Dude, is it likely they are penalizing my site? It has Google Adsense on it and I have partaken in reciprocal link exchanges (I have a links section on the site).

I believe my site provides useful and unique content - it's not just another scraper site trying to make money with Adsense. Is it worth sending a PM to MSNDude even though the site doesn't appear to be banned? He probably has loads of PMs to reply to.

Thats what happened to my site a few weeks before it got banned.

Probably not if its been that long.

 

AND have more than one site on the same IP address, then ALL YOUR SITES WILL BE BANNED ALSO! MSN also ban your site because of BAD QUALITY of your IBL links..

 

Does anyone actually use it though? The only time I use it is to see if I'm in there.

 

Hmm, Im going to email them about one of my sites. It got banned due no reason at all. Very odd.

really? , they ban all websites on ip, wouldn't that take out everyone on a shared host?

i have one group of sites all on the same ip all but 2 or 3 have been banned, some only have links from directory submissions and some adsense on them, the are banned as well

The site that I had banned was on a shared host. They won't ban all your sites just based on IP address unless they have good reason.

 

this blows, I have found tons of sites that are banned now checking thru my sites, most from recips I guess

Some don't even have a lot recips or they have relevant ones

I can't find one of my sites on LIVE either! Screwed up policies making even the legit sites get banned!
