They are not against advertising. Sell a link with the no follow attribute and they'll have no problem with it.
Good decision, if you are content with the traffic that you are receiving from sources other than google then you could have kept the TLA, but that's not the case, I think you made the right decision.
I hope Google we not confuse site that is selling links with a site that do link exchange and I wonder how Google will fresh out site that is selling links.
Doesn't it piss you off that Google has almost full control over what you do with your sites. They can make all the money they want and if you want to make a few bucks by selling a couple of links you get punished. We all bow for the dictator, yes sir it won't happen again please don't punish me I'll be a good boy/girl.
the whole world is a dictatorship... choose your dictator wisly ..google does it foe me and many others lol.
This is true. Google doesn't have to prove anything. If you site fits the profile for a link seller, you might have to kiss your rankings goodbye. Matt Cutts has made it clear. If you have a site with links in the sidebar or footer to unrelated sites, it looks like you are either trying to boost another site's PR or you are a link seller. I still find it humorous that the largest link seller on the web has a vendetta against link sellers. Sounds like Tony Soprano to me.
just a thought here we keep talking about selling links and such.. will google see this and accuse DP of link sales?
Yeah a site can get ban from Google for selling links. There are many websites in the past that have lost their traffic Google PR for getting involved in selling and buying links
If Google bans the paid links, both Text-Link-Ads.com and textlinkbrokers.com should lose their traffic and earnings several years ago. Other word: they should be bankrupt several years ago. But according to Alexa.com, they are one of top 100,000.
