They banned me just before I got my second $100 check.
    Don't know why. ("it's proprietary")

I assume it's from San Francisco School System. They were using my proxy.

Gee, customers clicking on Google Ads, who would have thought?

I'm going back to porno sites!

I bet they don't refund to the clients.

It can also be because a large number of bots or competitors are clicking on your links - Google will ban if there is a higher than normal instance of fraud even if you had nothing to do with it - they just have to think there is a possibility and you're SOL.

    I currently have a 2.8% ctr.
Is this above average? I don't get alot of traffic. Do you think google might ban me?

I've got like a 5% CTR total. But its cause of the beginning which shows a 25% CTR. I think someone was playing with it. My adsense account I had over half year now. And I've collected $108 so far.

    You think they'll ban me?

It sounds kinda stupid if they do because then couldn't I just purposely get someone ban by playing with their ads and clicking on it lots of time?

 Google clearly states that you're not allowed to click your own ads or make others click them for you so you can earn money. You shouldn't even expect payment if you didn't stick to their terms.. invalid clicks mean ripping off the people who paid to have their ads shown.

yeah ... google states thats we aren't allowed to click our own ads or make others click them ....

BUT "invalid clicks" can be generated by those people that are internet savvy ... your rival( ... who isn't too happy about you earning too much) ... or maybe advertisers ?

there are some people out there who would happy click your ads just for the sake of gettin' you banned

What about clicks per coincidence, meaning what is the limit for invalid clicks?
Then of course how do they know its you and not some pretender trying to damage you.

Google generally checks the account during the PIP - Payment in Process, before they give out the payments, thats when most of the people get banned

Well if you click your own ads by accident it doesn't count as a click in your account and I think Google won't ban someone for accidentally clicking their own ads.. I think that happens to everyone that uses Adsense.

About the whole clickbombers thing, its really unfair but if you were to own Google Adsense, and people were paying you to have their ads shown and one site constantly gets attacked, isn't it just easier to ban the site than to have people stop paying for their ads because they're scared of clickfraud? :S Maybe huge sites can get away with it but I doubt smaller sites would matter much.. just a guess of course but this is how I would handle things if I were to manage Adsense..

There's certainly a conflict of interest. And google adsense needs to ensure the integrity of any clicks going through. However I think there should be some protection for the site providers as well, since it can happen that you get damaged via click bombing and the like. Certain patterns should raise an alarm and one also needs to verify the ownership/authority over a web site.
