And we liked getting them But don't feel alone... yours wasn't the only digg that was taken from my story. There were 3 other diggs by DP members that got axed. /me thinks they may be watching the freebie forum here.
They Might be or some one might be reporting from here.. I dont see what it hurts if we are all friends and wana dig each others sites why ban accounts.. for a few diggs its fun and makes digg popular not hurting anyone.. But banning accounts makes them less popular and does hurt..
I understand it from their point of view. Friends digging each others stuff, just because they are friends doesn't necessarily allow the best articles to rise to the top. The people with the most friends would be the ones on the front page and not the ones with the best content. But blah, blah, blah. I don't think I was doing that much harm.
I dugg a bunch of stuff from threads on here a month ago or so, and I just tried to get into my account and it said I was banned - snap! Can I still use all my information when I make a new account (same email, etc)? There are some good tips on here - I was digging articles that people on DP just said "please digg" without opening them or anything. I didn't know that was illegal. Are you also not supposed to submit your own blog entries? I guess I should read the TOS - LOL How do I find out if they banned my blog?
Yes, you can submit your own sites/blog posts. IMO, it's better that way. Otherwise you have no control over what category it gets listed in or what the description is. But that rapidfire digging w/o reading articles is probably what does it. 10 diggs/minute probably sends up a red flag to the admins of digg...
hmmmm ... that's messed up - I think I dugg a TOTAL of 24 things over maybe a two weeks. But yea, maybe I did raise a red flag since I didn't read any of them (except for one, I think!). I was just trying to help people out on the forum. So I can use all my real information again? I mean Digg isn't like ebay where you and your children are banned for life? LOL And yea Powell, I'll digg your blog - but I'll read it first LOL
