It would interest Digg'rs if it was about the latest uber sexy car. The only way a story about a Golf GTI would be "offbeat" is if you found out that there was some weird cult which worshiped them while dancing naked in the middle of a football stadium.
how come there is umpteen stories similar to this then, from new coffee machines , to how to make your garden grow, where is the line?
I cannot recall the last time a story about gardens or coffee machines got to the front page of Digg. They may slip through and clutter up the back end of the site, but they are NOT what the readers are interested in. Digg is reguarly adjusting its algos to prevent that sort of "boring spam" from appearing. Was your article genuinely wacky and weird enough to appear in the offbeat news section?
its strange that its been fine for 6 months covering everything from mobiles to hdtvs with no probs at all, it was similar to my usual posts
As I said, the algos etc are being constant updated to clear out non-Digg audience stuff. Genuinely, hand on heart - was your article really going to interest Digg'rs and was it genuinely a wacky bit of silly news that would belong in the offbeat news section ?
hand on heart its was the same as 80 percent of other digg stuff, as for the reason they banned the site easyinsurance4you.co.uk , its got news about autos with twist bio etc, oh well they've still given no reply, bit up them selves it appears
To be honest - I would have banned that site as well - it looks like just an MFA/Affiliate site with a few random blog articles. Yes, that may be the same as a lot of Digg clutter - but as I *keep* stating, Digg is trying to clear that sort of thing out of the site, leaving behind Digg relevent news content. I saw nothing on that insurance sales site which would have warrented a listing the offbeat news section. Have a look at Fark to see what sort of content qualifies as offbeat to see what you need to aim for.
which bits made for adsense? all content is original content with a bit of adsense , try not to sound elevated, so far you have backed major corporations over a legitimate mistake and yours isnt an afiliate site lol want ideas on making moby sites and not a blog covering as a phone site theres lot out there to grab inspiration from
