    >1. Identify the specific URLs of material that Google has removed or to
    >which Google has disabled access. For Google Groups, identify the sender,
    >date, newsgroup, and subject matter of all the material in question.

Tell them you've taken down the site in question (you have taken it down, haven't you?) so there is no need to remove any URL.

    >2. Provide your name, address, telephone number, email address, and a
    >statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court
    >for the judicial district in which your address is located (or Santa
    Clara
    >County, California if your address is outside of the United States), and
    >that you will accept service of process from the person who provided
    >notification under subsection (c)(1)(C) or an agent of such person.

This is self-explanatory. If you don't understand it, get someone who knows better English to write it for you as outlined.

    >3. Include the following statement: "I swear, under penalty of perjury,
    >that I have a good faith belief that each search result or message
    >identified above was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or
    >misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled, or that the
    >material identified by the complainant has been removed or disabled at
the URL identified and will no longer be shown."

Again, self-explanatory. Make sure you have the statement "I swear, under penalty of perjury..." etc etc in the letter you're writing to them.

    >4. Sign the paper.

    Sign the paper.

    >5. Send the written communication to the following address:
    >
    >Google, Inc.
    >Attn: AdSense Support, DMCA Complaints
    >1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
    >Mountain View, CA 94043
    >
    > OR fax to:
    >
    >(650) 618-8507
    >Attn: AdSense Support, DMCA complaints

Send or fax to the address/number they gave you.

Again, everything they're telling you to do is self-explanatory. If you don't understand it, your English is poor, and you need to get someone who knows better English to compose the letter for you as instructed and fax it to Google.

    That's it.

Don't frighten him. The maximum he has to pay is the amount he has earned but only if he is a citizen of US.

Isn't he civily liable for everything he has, everything he owns, and anything he might ever own if the owner of the content that he stole decides to take him to court?

Why on earth would you steal someone's content? I am not sure if you were making any money if the sites were hosted on geocities (traffic factor).

As Jack said, send them a fax composed by someone who is proficient with the English language. Also, remove the content entirely from your site and include this statement in your fax:

    Best of luck.

shahbaz: if you take down the offending material and send them the fax you have a chance of keeping your adsense account. What do you have to lose by faxing Google? If they ban you, you wont get a chance to use adsense again in the future.

Note that the people you took the content from clearly know you took it, so they can file a DMCA complaint with anyone you get advertising from and even your web host if you don't take the offending material down.

It's a web thing. Just dump the URL and go on with your life. The BBC isn't going to take you to court. They know all it takes is a C&D letter and you'll fold. So fold and move on.

I think he still has to officially reply to Google, telling them he's taken the site down, if he doesn't want his Adsense account banned.

Stealing content from other sites is an evil act. Few weeks ago, some indian dude stole content from my site too.
This is something that you simply don't do. And I am glad Google caught you.
