I own a blog that is based on comprehensive reviews incentive affiliates that other publishers can sign up for and also gain great knowledge of the incentive industry. So I see threads about incentive publishers and just some pretaining to the industry, and I let them know to "check my sig" because that's what I see everyone else do after they comment. Even people who have a relative blog to mine. So last week I got a one week ban which was lifted today for saying "check the sig" because that's considered spam.

I was just going by what I saw from other people, now I'm actually hesitant to even say check the sig. I didn't want to link my website in the post since I thought that was spamming. I get banned while these other people who do it all the time. Can anyone explain this rule to me and how others get away with it while I got banned? Might be a n00b question, but it was really bothering me. Thanks.

Make your sig enticing enough and you won't have to ask people to click

My opinion, just post your comment and don't ask people to checkout your signature. I don't really know the rules though but asking people to checkout you sig do sounds like a spam

Well lets say someone asks me for a review of an affiliate, and I already have that on my website. Can I not just say "check out my reviews?" Is that better than "check the sig?"

And don't ever assume something's ok just because others are doing it. Read all rules and follow the stickies. We don't catch everything, because there aren't enough of us to monitor everything - but if we do see it, you'll get hit with infractions or bans whether or not anyone else is doing the same thing. If you see other rule-breakers, use the report post button.
