Banned for being related to another disabled account? wtf?

"Your AdSense account was found to be related to an account previously
disabled for invalid click activity and we have therefore disabled your
account. Publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not allowed
further participation in AdSense and do not receive any further
payment. The earnings on your account will be properly returned to the
    affected advertisers."

Anyone care to shed any light on way Google is allowed to do this?

I am a perfectly legitimate user, have never clicked on my ads and have never incited users to do so... so wtf I am completely annoyed about this.

E-mail them, explaining your problems. Maybe someone from the same IP address/home address got their account banned and therefore Google thinks it's you.

    Several questions cross my mind.

Have you run Adsense on another account that was disabled?
Did you buy this web from someone who could have run into trouble with Adsense?

For some reason it sounds like they think you have violated TOS in past.

My son could have done something wrong on this IP, but other than that I do not know?

Well, then as far as I know, if one Adsense account was banned from one IP address, you're in jeopardy, and I can't think of much you could do about it.

Try e-mailing them explaining their situation, they're usually quite professional with these sort of things.

why you are telling your son about this?

It always happens whenever you tell about your website to your friends and relatives.

They always thinking that by clicking on ads will help you. because of them our account will be banned.

It is better to keep things confidential

It is definitely time to have a father and son talk. If both of you have had an Adsense account and used same computer, same address etc and son banned this was inevitable.

Yep this appears to be the problem, I run the website with my wife you see... so Adsense was starting to be a good channel for revenue. My wife has just e-mailed Google on the other computer explaining our situation.

Thank you for the advice anyway guys.

Never tell your kids, friends, relatives, enemies, pet snake, credit card, shirt...about your web sites!!! It's a nice way to get banned from them thinking they are helping you out by clicking links!

If it was from click fraud, the E-mail would of been the other one, and not about a duplicate account.

No I think the situation is that my son has obviously signed up for an Adsense account in the past, got himself banned from click fraud.. and as he's on the same router (static ip) as myself Google obviously thinks that its the same culprit coming back for a second shot.

My wife emailed anyway so I'll let you know the outcome

Shame my son couldn't have used Adsense wisely :(

Ouch. That does sound harsh. Sorry to hear about the situation. I may need to go back and re-read the TOS and tell my friends and family not to click on certain pages if that can get me banned.

Cant you just block adsense from appearing on your own IP? That way you cant even see your own ads, much less accidentally click on them
