I posted Digg site link (for bookmarking) on my site. After posting the articles for some day, they banned my account and my link, saying that i was spamming. It was pretty unusual and i just posted the stories which i posted on my website, which many of us do .
Can anybody tell me why it has been happnd and how can i approve my URL again.
    my URL is
    http://technology-post.info

It's hard to believe they would ban you for posting your own content, unless you were asking a lot of friends to digg it too. Digg is a funny place. If something looks spammy, or if one user continually submits from the same site and never uses digg, they will spam you.

    My suggestion:
    1. Write to digg and apologize, and ask them to reinstate your account. Make sure to tell them you weren't aware of any posting restrictions and won't do it again.
    2. Only submit your best articles. Even better, wait for other people to digg your best stuff. If something is Digg worthy, someone will Digg it (that is, if you have an audience... if not, ask a friend to digg something every couple weeks).
    3. Use digg regularly. It looks suspicious if someone only diggs their own stuff without submitting other articles or at least digging other people's stuff.
    4. Consider changing your site layout if you want to cater to Digg. From a Digg user's perspective, it looks like you're trying to get dugg to gain ad revenue, which is frowned upon in the digg community

My site was banned from Digg awhile ago but eventually unbanned out of the blue. Never received word from Digg about why it was banned or unbanned.

I too was self promoting my articles. I would not post more than one story from a site a week on Digg. Also, if people are commenting saying your spamming, stop. If too many people bury your stories as spam, this will cause your site to be banned too.

And finally, if you're going to post your own content on Digg, make sure it's Digg worthy. Don't just post an article so you can get a few diggs and a few hundred visits.

This has happened to a few of my friends, who were submitting a lot of their own articles...

I'd say make sure to only submit one or two sites per week (and if you run a forum...make sure your users don't excessively dig)...though of course...that's only if you manage to get unbanned....good luck
