I m an indian and have ICICI bank account! i have some funds on moneybookers n need to withdraw it to my bank account.

But when i try to add a bank account it asks for "swift code".

Is it the same as IFSC ?

Can anyone provide me the swift code for ICICI Bank ?

    Thanks a lot.

P.S i ve tried contacting the bank but they are themselves not sure of what it is :|

The problem is only few icici headoffices have direct SWIFT code.

    Go to http://www.swift.com/biconline

Find the nearest ICICI branch and their SWIFT code in the above website. You will need to specify the final beneficiary name and account number in the payment order.

The best is go to your bank and tell them you are receiving a foreign transfer and you will need a direct SWIFT code.

NO! IFSC code is used for electronic clearance system for intra India payments. SWIFT code is for international payment network

Swift code is BIC ( Bank identifier code) .. You can find it online or ask your bank or find it in your bank's statement too .. If your bank don't have a swift code according to its branch then go for the main branch's swift code .. Hope it wll help you

It is a bit difficult to explain the swift code.
google "swift code", you will know.

    You should ask your bank.
