Bank Wire Transfer as payment option?

Right now I only offer paypal as a payment option and with paypal customers can choose to pay via credit card. But paypal is still the merchant.

Now I was thinking about adding wire transfer as a payment option.

Generally, what type of people or from what parts of the world would like to use this payment option more? Is it worth it for me to add this as a payment option? What benefit will I get by adding this?

 

I would say add it. It never hurts to have more payment options available.

 

Countries where Paypal is blocked will be able to send you payments, payments will come through quicker too and also there are no fees. Many advantages

Yes! Some countries are not allowed by PayPal. Which means, if you used a bank payment method, they would be able to pay with their credit cards, or bank instead.

 

Most of our customers who like to pay via Bank Transfer are against paypal or simply wire a very high amount which saves them costs also.
I don't think it's bad to support that also, as there are always some clients who like to use it.

 

I would definitely recommend adding wire as a payment option. Another importnat factor to consider is the usefulness of wire transfer as a pay-out method for your affiliate network, if you have one. Affiliates love a wide range of pay-out options, and wires are preferred by those affiliates making more than $250.
