I'm not from India but as far as I know, there is no fee on incoming remittances, however there might be SWIFT charges which differs with every bank. However I'm not sure how these things work in India, I might be wrong. Someone from India will definitely give you better answer.

One of my client was from India, and he paid the money for his order via bankwire, and each time,he said he sent the whole money, but there is still lacking 10$ or 20$ in the total,I have telephoned to our local bank, the worker explained no fee deduct from the incoming remittances,So I also think Maybe SWIFT chages the extra fee!

I am not sure it is swift charges or fees, but some bank deduct a part of the amount received as a fees, for me it was a flat fee in "Indian Bank"

Ya i think it is outgoing wire fee charged in some banks in India, do u know through which bank the money was sent to you by your client

i guess bank transfers within the country or from outside are free in ICICI, anyhow even if bank wires receival fees is nil, i would soon a open account there
