Anyone with Bank of America in the United States has had to have noticed this by now. Their new ATM machines around the country offer this "instant deposit" service which is pretty mind blowing. A little curved lid slides up and you can put up to 40 bills at a time in it, then it closes and right in front of you, the machine sorts through the money and counts it and shows you on the screen all your bills. You can even do checks, or checks and cash at the same time! The best part about this is the money is instantly credited to your account. I went and requested a balance inquiry with the ATM and the money was added instantly. Pretty awesome stuff, any other country have this technology yet? I will admit though, the machine is scary looking - once the lid closes with your money, you hear a series of loud noises which sound like the machine is shredding up your cash!
