Hello, I had cancelled my bank account 2 month's ago but I forgot to remove it from my paypal services where you add/remove banks. Why this charge went through, I have no idea because I was trying to pay via my credit card since the bank account number no longer exists and therefore has no more money it.

So what will happen.... Will I recieve a notice in the mail asking me to pay this or what...? The bank account was closed like literally 2 months ago, I forgot to remove the bank thing from my paypal and I was trying to pay with credit card...

I don't understand what's going on here... why is it still accepting charges.... is it just a paypal fault? After all paypal says this on one receipt...

I'd fund your account so when they come looking for the money it is sitting there for them.

By the way, it is not "a paypal fault" this is your responsibility.

How is it still being charged though..? It was cancelled two + months ago and there is no balance. Just what are you telling me exactly... that they allow charges to be made to closed accounts that they have on file? Is that guess anywhere near correct?

You better visit your pay pal account and removed your bank account there which is already closed so that they won't charge you anymore.

Actually, I'm thinking of saying that after I cancelled the bank account I never accessed the paypal account (or say I sold the computer including the hard drive that contained all of my logins) but yeah, I won't try to do any more paypal stuff until the middle of next month... just incase the old bank does try to send a letter or whatever.

Anyways later in next month I do plan to make some changes to where that bank account won't have a chance of being charged again.

I don't think you understand. Your bank is not going to be charged, PayPal took you on your honor that that account you linked to your accont was still there and able to fund $10.

Why be an idiot and wait for them to tell you. You know you spent money and need to fund it, so just do it. Why people create all this drama I have no idea.

I still have checks from old bank accounts. I might even be able to walk into a store and use one knowing that I closed the account.

Of course, that is a crime where I live. ;)

It'll be PayPal who'll be coming after you for the money. As you bank account's closed, the bank does not have any sort of obligation to notify you, or anyone else, if someone tries to debit their closed accounts.

    Exactly what browntwn said.

You have a Credit card and a confirmed bank account on file. Paypal will try to remove the funds from the bank account on file if it fails they will use your backup funding source (The Credit Card) when you checked out it should have given you the option to change your default funding source (The Bank account) to another one.

Paypal prefers you use a Bank account because they save money on fee's.
