bandwidth usage of proxy too high?

currently i only have 300 page impressions a day on my proxy site and over 5 days it has used 175 gb bandwidth. is that normal? isnt that too high for that amount of traffic? at this rate my site will be shut down in like 10 days. (only bought account with 500gb)

 

well yup it is too high, i usually get 300 impressions and use only 2 to 3 Gb bandwith.

 

any explanation as to why usage is so high?

 

just disable the pictures...
Why usage is high?
Data goes from the web site to the proxy and from the proxy to the end user.
Thats a double traffic

 

i was getting about 1100 users a day adv.!
and i used a terabyte of bw in about 2 weeks!
i was told that my proxy was getting hyjacked (someone uses my proxy on their site!)
but have no clue if this is true!
would like to know tho!

 

Limit filesize, disable hotlinking, etc.

 

what do you recommend i set it 2?
