Bandwidth question on vps

    Ok lets say I had a 300gb bandwidth vps I want to know if I use the vps to download stuff on the net would that be counted to vps bandwidth? and if I upload files on some random file host would that also be counted to the vps bandwidth

    Yes and Yes.

    Some provider will give split bandwidth numbers, while most of them count bandwidth as bandwidth, either download or upload to your server.

    If you are talking about repidleech here yes.. both dload and upload are counted.. If you want to do only this on your vps get a Santrex VPS hosting which offer you unlimited bw

    Most hosts provide two types of bandwidth IN and OUT. So if you upload anything to your server or if you directly download anything on your server, both will be counted in the bandwidth usage.

    Yes . Both of your Downloads & Uploads will be counted as Bandwidth.

    Bcos Most of the Server companies include both IN & OUT data transfers in bandwidth calculation....

    You can check your company's method in Terms and Conditions page of your hosting company web page....

    If you feel , your bandwidth is not enough to Upload & downloads , then choose some Unmetered bandwidth VPS or dedicated solutions.....
