I don't believe anyone posted this yet, but we have a ban words mod for v2 users that uses a simple text file where you can add the ban words. Here is a link to that release:
    phpLD Ban Words for v2.1.2

wow, this is great. Think i really need this with all the spam i'm getting. read your readme file but its not there:

when someone enters a banned word, it will just return with an error message?

Now to think of good ban words that effectively stop spammers but not give a headache to real customers :)

I have downloaded it too. I wanna know how it works by the way. I have added a word in the text file. Is there anything I should do?

I was thinking I could do it from admin panel but it doesn't seems to be so.

Yes, it is very simple, but you have to use the text file. Try submitting a link with a word from your text file, and you will see what happens.

for those who have installed this mod, can you share what type of words do you put under your BAN list? cause i cannot think of anything else apart from the vulgar and viagara-type terms. Are there any others that are effective in removing spam submissions?

If you are getting spammed by a specific tld, sometimes people will add this to their file. For example, one person who had an English directory was getting tons of submissions from .ru, so they banned that tld, and their problem was solved.
