I got you (so to speak that is ;)), I just don't agree with you that 10-15 or more negative iTrader points should result in the DP'er being banned.

You're crystal clear - I just still don't agree with you.

On this we can agree :)

Katy, the reason we have iTrader point is so we can evaluate our business associates - whenever we sell or purchase something.

If we take away every person from the scene, that have a negative score of xx iTrader points, why would we ever need the iTrader points in the first place - if nobody is ever around with a bad rep, what good does the good rep do us?

Let the iTrader points speak for them selves - like the reps do.

Oh, and finally: If 10 negatives should result in a ban, wouldn't that be very unfair for the seasoned trader that has a thousand positive ones, but runs into one-in-a-hundred negative person once in a while?

And if you want to let him slip by, then the next trader comes along (carrying his 10 minus and "only" one hundred positives) and says "Hey, can't you forgive me for disappointing one in ten?"...

You get where this is going, right? You cannot imagine the difficulty you might get your self into once you start trying too hard to get the world to be fair and just to all.

Well Katy, I dont know the guy and I say "No" to Ban.
It depends on the Mods whom they wanna ban and whom they should ban, Negative iTraders are not supposingly relating to scam, scammers are ought to be banned. People who provide service, might get some negative itraders, even 10+ if they have xxx +ve itraders, but they might get it for sometimes mistake in service, poor service, etc.

Hope I make my self clear.

    Best Regards,
    Kulwinder.

It should work on a percentag instead. What if a member had 1k postive itrades and 15 negative one's. Would that mean he is a scammer?

I think that if a member have 25% of his itraders negative, then he should be inspected.

Why are you saying this to me? There're many other members who voted Yes. And if you read my previous post I said I was talking about people who have ONLY negative iTrader. That's MY opinion, my own! :p

And stop critiquing me, I'm not alone here... ;)

No one should be banned unless over 50 negatives or they are obviously a known ripoff artist.

The reason I say this is simple. "Do you all realize that there are teams of 10+ people around here who all run together?"

It would be too easy for them to take out an enemy.

Dont take it personally, I know there are alot of people who are saying Yes.
How can you say I am criticising? You said a guy with 10-15 negative iTraders should be banned. I say "No" to that and I just explained the reason behind it lol.

    Chill.

He will probably be kicked from DP before even reaching 15 :p

We can do tha ratio things.

Like 1:1 should be banned after a total of 5 iTraders have been given. Like 3 positive and 3 negatives, then he's gone.

Just to make absolutely certain here Katy:

Yes, everyone here is free to have their own opinions! (affirmative)
No, You are not alone here! (affirmative)

No one is going for the girl... just the ball, at least I hope so.

And for the record I do agree with your intention "Katy-plus-others", just not the proposed course of action.

Ban them for 10 negs for sure. New members that have no idea what iTrader is will not bother to look at how much the user has been scamming in the users iTrader profile (because they don't know what it is). I'm all for this.

What if they're scammers and spammers? And what if they spread into the main categories posting their scamming services? :) That would need to be stopped.

Havent seem any member with 10-15 Negative iTraders yet but yeah such Members Should be banned but also Consider how many Positive iTraders that person has if more then 150 or 200 then he/she should be given 1 more chance
    Atleast I think so

Why ban them? We can all see the negative reps and can choose whether or not to deal with them. As inworx and Rob said, there could be chances of someone getting negative iTraders for reasons that are not theirs. Further, at times something is better than nothing.
I am completely against a permanent ban but a temperory ban will be fine for every negative he gets after 10.

I think the Mods do keep a watch on people will high negative itraders.
And They will ban people if they feel so, it is upto their way of thinking.
It depends on the types of Negative iTraders.

    Best Regards,
    Kulwinder.

Banning will only encourage users to make a new account. Let them deal with it, the rep / neg itrader already labels them not trustwrothy. If they make a new account they start fresh.

What would be handy if the iTrader color was like Rep or Infractions. If the user has a Negative iTrader in the last say 30 days it shows up as: iTrader (80).

It would alert members of "possible" problems and to check their history a bit before a transaction. I often don't check (i know i should) if a member has a decent iTrader amount, when their last 10 transactions may be scams.

Not only that, much like having a Red Rep it just looks plain bad and would be like wearing a "badge of shame" for a month. The though of wearing the badge may encourage people not to mess around on trades.
