bakingpals.com is up for sale. Ranks on the first page in Google for several terms. Had over 5k unique visitors in March 2010, before it was parked.

The cake decorating industry is HUGE. There is only 1 really active forum currently (cakecentral.com with 250,000 active members).

The web site made some money with selling an ebook (I bought the web site complete on flippa in 2008). I did some redesign and SEO work and sales started to come in. Then I also published the ebook as a paperback on amazon and it started to sell like hotcakes.

Then I found out that the person that sold the web site to me did not have the right to sell the ebook that was offered on it. From all the data that I had, I thought I bought it from the original author. But that was not the case. The person who wrote the original book told me that he did not really object to the ebook, but he did not like the fact that something that was based on his original work was now competing with him on amazon.

So, I decided to take the web site down (I could write own book, but I lost interest in the niche).
