Bahh, pages were indexed, but now they aren't?

Last Saturday I think it was I had about 18 pages indexed out of about 100 total from my site. I had already submitted a sitemap, but I heard it took awhile to get going so I was patient with it. Come Sunday I was extatic to find out that 86 of my pages were indexed!!

Now, I just checked to see if any of the rest of the pages were indexed, and I don't know why or when this happened, but only 30 of them are now indexed?!

What are some of the reasons for taking pages out of their index? Do they remove them if they don't get enough clicks through their search engine or something? Is it because of similar page content? My site is a quotations site, so I'm sure I have very similar content to many other sites, but its not the exact same when compared to any one site.

    Any input?

Check the other datacenters to see if you're just seeing the results on an earlier DC that hasn't picked up the newly indexed pages.

If you had duplicate content, chances are the pages'll be put into the supplementary index (or they'll remain indexed, but show up far lower in the SERPs compared to the original article... or they could even overtake the original article).

Clickthroughs should have no impact whatsoeover on how well a site ranks.

Are you lifting the quotes directly from a freely accessible quote database? If you can provide us with an URL, we may be able to help out further.

    oy-oy.eu/google/pages/?full=1&url=http://www.yourdomain.com

replace yourdomain.com with your website and you will know whether you are indexed on other DC's

    sorry, my site is

    http://quotevoid.sitesled.com

and I don't know what you mean about freely accessible quote database, not even sure what that is. I get my quotes from tons of places. wikiquote, quotegarden, wisdomquotes, giga-usa (or something), quotationspage, quoteland, brainyquote, thinkexist, people submitting them, through people from other forums posting in my threads, tv shows, tons of stuff.

Before I even made the site I wanted to make sure I wasn't violating any kind of copyright kind of stuff by copying quotes from various places, pretty much everyone told me theres nothing wrong with it because no one can own a quote, and I never claim any of these quotes as my own.

Also, with that link you posted max pain, every single one of them said 0 lol. Not sure if I did something wrong . .

    Yes. 30 indexed.

    Try this in google:

    site:http://quotevoid.sitesled.com

    U will see 30 results.

Anyway, the indexed pages will fluctuate. Mine ranges from 200 to 240. So I guess its normal for u too!
