Good Webday! I think, if you put for everybody on the first page some short description about the purpose of the website it would be more clear for attendees to grasp the main idea about your project.
Looks pretty slick, I'd just question why the css and jquery stuff is on the page and not in separate files. You are either using a dodgy theme or a dodgy plugin.
