Hi DPers, first of all let me wish you all a very happy new year. I had a pretty bad start this year. Last morning my beloved N95 8GB was bricked when upgrading the firmware, so I won't be having my phone till another 15 days. There are a few photos on the phone which I won't lose but have to wait till I get the phone back. Later yesterday, I went to a restaurant for lunch and the valet parking guy there stole the pocket knife in my tommy key ring! (However I bought a new one yesterday night but thats a waste of money). Worst of all, today morning my 1 week old 1TB hard drive stopped working and it has some more important photos on it which I don't have copies of. So, if any of you had a bad start, why don't you share it here and lessen the pain?
Sorry to hear about your losses. So far aside from paying my credit card bill from items I've purchased during the holidays, there is nothing I can complain about yet.
Hey, concentrate on the good aspects and more good things will follow, personally I just bought a brand new corner suite in arctic white leather for half price, so alls good.

I had a really bad start this year, probably the WORST on all of DP... It started on New Year's eve when I went to this restaurant looking to treat myself to some good food... On there, I saw this chick eying me from her lonely table. She came over and asked if she could buy me dinner. I agreed and she treated me to everything on the menu. That was the best dinner I ever had. Then she invited me to her car where I banged her for like 2 hours then we went to her house and I banged the hell out of her sweet ... all night. Then, for new year's day, she cooked me a supergood breakfast and gave me $1000 as I left. She even gave me phone numbers of all her friends so I can bang them as well. I got suspicious and checked with the doctor to see if I caught an STD... seems I'm still good. So... well, that's not a bad experience but I made it up just so I could add to your pain by telling you that you're the only one with a bad start this year. I rule.

I'm sure there's some way to recover the important documents off your hard drive. I was amazed when you said it was 1 TB! How much did that cost you?
