Hello, How do you know if a site is in a bad neighbourhood? And what denotes a bad neighbourhood? Also what is considered to be a link farm? Are they associated with all those awful e mails promising 1000's of links to your site for $10!
I think what you are getting at is how to build links. Here a couple of pointers... 1. Build Thematic links - ie: theme links from similar sites dealing with your market. 2. Link to sites that have relevant content - lots of it. 3. Ask for links back from sites that have relevant content 4. Build lots of content on your site that is useful to the enduser and theme related If companies promise you thousands of links for $10 stay away. Bad neighbors are sites that have been banned from google and other search engines. These are sites with irrelevant or little content, poor outbound links, poor inbound links. I suggest you spend some time on these forums and you will found everything you need to get your site going and prospering! Cheers Frank
Check the links pages of the sites you are thinking about linking too. If the site is about oranges and the links are to poker, debt relief, and web design company sites, its a bad neighborhood.
