Bad Neighbourhoods - How to avoid them

I read a post about someone worried about linking to bad neighbourhoods that looked like good neighbourhoods from the outside.

If your not selling a link, and just placing one at your own will, wouldn't it just be wise to tack on the rel="nofollow" attribute? Unless your know for sure the site your linking to is not considered at bad neighborhood to Google, then it probably wouldn't matter anyhow.

Also, someone also pointed out a interesting statement. He said, if Google can regonize a bad neighborhood, why not just remove it from the index? That way, people who link to bad neighborhoods unwillingly have no worries.

I usally just roll the windows up and blow threw any red lights as i dont want to stop for anything...lol just kidden

My suggestion is that you closely look at the site and see whats going on first before you add links...

    1. check for site:www.whatever.com and see if its indexed
    2. check the date of last cache

best info i have to offer sorry...

    thx
