Since you implement redirect, the old page may not exist and transfer to new one. Nothing wrong I think but it doesn't guarantee transfer of rankings.

Not the best idea to copy article from one site and place it on another. You can use site a to boost site b rankings, by placing links in articles on site a linking to site b.

It is not a good idea to duplicate your content from other because it every search engine are very strict and your website might be banned from working.

It depends on exactly what you are doing. Will site a still be live? Are you putting site b onto the domain that site a was on? Moving an article from site a to site b is not recommended for duplicate content reasons, but I'm not sure what it is you're doing really.

You can redirect that article page link to page b then why are you copying that article.Avoid duplicate content from your website if you want to get rank well in google.

Link building is the most popular and cost effective way to improve your ranking or traffic in major search engine.

Well IMHO there are no duplicate content issue because you already used 301 redirect. everytime you visit the URL it will redirect to the other webpage. now in terms of PR transfer it does some effect you might experience PR Loss "matt cutts" already discussed this matter way back 2010. I suggest that you shut down the other website or make a new content for it. don't take risk especially with google. 301 is good then you are going to use it internally and not Url 1 to Url 2.

Yes, this will affect your website ranking may be for some time...

Since you are setting up a 301 redirect so we can expect things to be normal in few days.

And, this won't be considered as duplicate content.

Duplication is not good for you to get high ranking. Google don't like that. You can post different contents to each site. Uoften can do write yourself or a writer.

I would just avoid this completely, this is a waste of your time creating content that google finds duplicate copies.

That's exactly the way you should do it... but make sure you do 301 redirects and your rankings should stay.

I dont have a clue why so many people talk about duplicate content here if you're just changing urls...
