Bad Experience with Netfirms, Don't try it

I have purchased Netfirms business account for one of my client with dedicated IP address just two week ago.

I couldn't access FTP using direct site URL i.e. ftp.mysite.com. after inquiry they told me they don't give ftp access on dedicated IP. Does this make any sense?

Now the most critical part: They say they have ASP .Net support. But I can't run ASP.NET reason they are running .net under Medium Trust environment as recommended by Micro$oft. Features such as code-behind, master pages and parent paths are disabled as well for security reasons. Can any one guide how can I run ASP.net without code behind?

After this experience I suggest not to try Netfirms.

Get out of there ASAP and look elsewhere...NF isn't as good as it looks from the front.

Yep. Bad story here to come too. I used to use them and still using them for about a year now. At first it was alright for what I was doing (running proxies) but since I am into bigger stuff that involves databases and 20 domains or more it has went sour. New databases don't work. Support won't help. And I spent $10. Just don't try!
