Bad DMOZ Editors?

No brizzie the freaks are enough.
In my line of work I only stain Carpets, Hardwood Floors and Decks.
I have stained my FACE once in a KABUKI Festival.
Other than that I like my window glasses crystal clear.

Yeah. My recommendation is ask your site why wasn't it listed yet at this THREAD or any other website and editor concerns.

 

In particular, I would suggest you email this editor. He just loves to help people like you.

 

1. It is not Guy's forum but his brothers & yes that is me. I do not hide behind aliases. I use my name so you know it is me.
2. That is the board I found about this on as I stated in my post
3. Yes Gary made me a monitor since he knows I try to deal fairly with people. I am a montior on many different forums because of that very reputation.
4. Guy and I no longer have a friendship because I will not tolerate anyone playing games. Yes I reply to his posts from time to time but could you please take the time to read what I said. Did I or did I not warn him about accusing people without proof?
5. I would give you links to her blogs and her forum but she deleted the blogs when caught and also deleted all post on her forum concerning her deeds. Most of her confessions happened in a private forum she set up. I believe Guy might still have the print out from them but you will have to ask him.

The only agenda I had in posting this was to give you some facts you were not aware of to do with as you choose. I do believe people should form their own conclusions but need all the information to do so. I have always been one to try to make peace. Chantal even coined the name "Party Pooper Pam" for me because I tried to stop people in the middle of that war on both sides from attacking each other. I guess no good deed goes unrewarded. I have learned my lession and will not offer information in the hopes of helping any longer.

Please forgive me for getting involved with this. I am sorry I posted and wish you all well.

PS Since it seems I was wrong and Chantal is on this forum...please remove all links to any of my sites from yours Chantal. I told you so many times I want nothing to do with you any longer and that will not change.

Not a problem. Did you know websites are archived? If you provide the link to the blog you're speaking of we can see archives of it as it was, complete with updates.

We have open minds here but we don't follow anyone blindly. Please provide the links and we'll check for ourselves at archive.org

(added) By the way, I apologize for neglecting to mention Resource Zone. I should have provided that information when the topic veered to individual listings and allegations of abuse. That forum is run by the most senior editors, if you have a legitimate problem that's the place to go.

 

That is fine PamelaG. The only thing is people here were just surprised on the attitude which was demonstrated by MAX. Put yourself in a situation when people are having a party and theres an unwanted guest that is looking for someone with unbrushed hair and ripped clothing and looks like he's ready to chop off our head just to get specific informations that we're unaware of, I'm going to be so pissed off that I'll stick his balls in his throat. It's not your fault Pam and neithers Chantal. As matured people you can make it up and be friends with her. I 've known her for quite a while and I enjoy her postings here may be it good or bad. But that's life. I have been a bad boy once (or still I am) in this forum but I've learn a lot from these PROFESSIONALS and HOUSEWIVES. With regards to the links. All I can say is put aside personal indifference with business. As a businessman my personal indifference with someone has nothing to do with my business transactions. Stay here and be a part of us and I think you'll grow more of a better understanding. I know your wiser than that.

 

I agree with compostannie. Resource-zone.com is the #1 place to take care of such complaints. They will examine both sides of the issue with fairness and open minds. They will be very receptive. It's the best place to you to give all the details of your case. They are meta-editors there, and they have the power to do something about your problem.

You are wasting your time here. It will be much better spent at Resource-Zone. That's where you go if you want RESULTS.

 

Oh my! I just noticed this part of your post Pamela. I am a dmoz editor and don't know a lot about website promotion, but I do know some very basic facts. One being that the fact that Chantal has links to your site that aren't reciprocated is of value to YOU, not to her. It doesn't benefit Chantal in the least, but it does boost your site. If you don't believe it, check around in some of the other topics here at Digital Point. People actually pay money to get the type of links that Chantal is giving you for free.

 

Compostannie is right. People here even sell signature links. Like I said stick around a little more and you'll know the basics of site promotions.

 

You all seem to be good people here. I am not looking for anyone to take sides believe me. I learned my lesson when I tried to take a side. Not pleasant...

I too thought her a very talented (I still think that) and helpful person back in the beginning. I wish I could say that I could forgive but I can't in these instances. It was just too much and the old saying...fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...well I am not going to let there be a third time.

I do understand about links and their importance but I can’t be a hypocrite and in the glass world, association with her is not a good thing for ones reputation. I don’t want to further talk about her as I have been trying to follow the policy of not giving it any further attention then necessary. I hope you all can understand.

I do look forward to wading through the ton of information here. I host a few sites and am the web master for many more. This site seems like a real great resource for me to be able to help my clients.

I have ignored all these people for over year and a half. I have not said a word about them, I have refused communication with them. I have hung up on them, I have blocked their email addresses, I have told them to leave me alone. All persona non grata. In return, I have left them completely alone. Except the fellow that copies and pastes my source code on this website, I had to make an exception and complain to his host to have him take this material down (it shows up in my 404 report, I don't even have to look for it):

I do know the meaning of "let bygones be bygones" and "live and let live" and I have done just that. I have turned my back, minded my own business, and concentrated on one thing: make a positive contribution. Since then, I have produced awe-inspiring quantities of stained glass patterns of laughably amateurish quality. As you know, it's a trade-off, I've had to trade my markers for crayons which I hold with a clenched fist.

This post is going to really excite them all, unless of course they want to prove me wrong, and not show their excitement. But I will know they will be really excited. Anyone touched by such greatness as I, even with a barge pole, would be very excited. This post will be talked about for YEARS! Yes, the GREAT ONE has spoken, and acknowledged the existence of the howler monkeys. They will tremble at this blessing. Their shrunken spirits will be fed for a very long time from this prime example of my creative way with words, my legendary wit.

Guess who listed your Goess Studio link at DMOZ? It was me. You're most welcome. Your gratefulness warms up my generous heart. You may stand up now.

And guess what else? A great number of my sites are NOT listed in DMOZ, probably never will be. I don't care, I am not pestering anyone about it, I happen to think these links are on the worthless side, they aren't worth my bothering with them. Though of course, if I wanted to push it, and get some real action, I'd be raising a stink at resource-zone.com. The one minute it would take me is better spent drawing a dozen or so ridiculously mediocre patterns.

Pamela, when you make a comment (earlier today) of "God is she sick or what?!" I have some difficulty with "I have always been one to try to make peace.". Those of us who know Chantal outside the rather surprising world of stained glass would probably prefer to judge her on our own experiences and not be drawn into the bickering of that niche, which looks quite nasty.

If you would like to hang around and learn more of DMOZ and how it works then you are, I'm sure, welcome to do so and perhaps you can take back what you learn to your industry colleagues and correct some myths. But please don't carry on personal feuds, Chantal does post here and most people would prefer her to carry on doing so without feeling persecuted.

Boy, after reading this thread I can assure you Pamella that, unlike you and Max, I am not only familiar with the resources of this website, but I am also very familiar with your sinister activities over the past year or so.

I have just visited the stained glass forum you moderate, so I'm pretty well informed about why you are here.

I read post, after post, from you and your particular fraternity making the most derogatory remarks about certain individuals that are not to your particular liking. Within these multiple threads of what I thought was a stained glass website, I did not come across a thread that discussed the art. All I came across was an infantile festival of defamatory remarks aimed at defenceless people made by you, along with the administrators and your servile members that number only a few. Including MadMax the original poster here.

You in particular seem to be one of the first to jump in and enjoy the killing of a target chosen by the administrators. You display a great deal of satisfaction in your comments about others who also join in the kill with you like a buch of wild hyenas.

If anybody believes a single word you have had to say should visit the forum, or better still, the fracas that you call a forum, to see for themselves what foul language you are more accustomed to exchanging with your close forum buddies about all who do not conform to you.

I dare you to give a link here to the many threads that will dissolve your credibility in an instant.

I will post those links here in a few moments so that all can see through your lies.

I've also checked your own website and your forum is almost dead. Nil activity. Why don't you tell people that it flourished once until people got to know you and left.

I'm very sorry, but I just read that glass forum and the frieghtening viscid slogans and damning comments made by Pamella and Max about people they do not like. Not only their chosen target here but many others.

It sends a chill down one's spine. Go read. It is an insult to anybody that vists that forum. They are violent and aggressive. Especially Pamella.

 

This thread has zero to do with DMOZ and hasn't had since the first few posts, and everything to do with some kind of stained glass wars. I've reported it to a moderator and hopefully it will be locked.
