Read the story here: http://mobilejones.com/2007/07/11/adsense-nonsense-20-google-writes-a-bad-check/ I was also surprised to see Matt Cutts's comment there!
Well, the story seems kind of real to me. I don't think Google is using only one account also. It is possible after a bad math for one account to get at the bottom even if not all publishers were already paid. Anyway, thanks for the link, a good read.
By law of the securities and exchange commission this cannot happen, the accts must have an established amount, if they are to remain open. but it would be funny
First of all this sounds BS. No bank can tell you what's Google's bank balance even though they have a bank account with them. This is a clear violation. I work for a bank and i can tell you this isnt true. You cant tell your customers about other party's account balance. Does that make any sense? People are hungry for DIGGs and free traffic, one of the best way is to accuse a popular co, you get free DIGGS lol
Someone gave red reputation to me on this post.... I didn't write the story and it's not my blog... I just saw it on problogger....
I've seen story's like these a lot. Suggestions: * Google has hundreds-thousands of bank accounts (literally - no banks take more than $x, so you have to open a new one) They transfered the funds in that one to a different one, so there aren't enough funds in that account. * Mishap with the Google system which in turn affects the banking system.
