That’s an interesting perspective. Basically what you’re saying is: “don’t look at the ads, don’t try to help police the content, don’t ask questions and trust DP and the other reviewers to take care of everything. If you do you’re a whiner and complainer and should drop out of the network.†I don’t mind being advised, corrected or told I’m flat out wrong but the patronizing attitudes are not necessary. -jay
There were no patronising attitudes. When you are the one offering advice, you will understand the frustration of people constantly posting the same questions and requests. What Tops and I have both said is true. If you don't like it, then don't join. Sorry.
I'm not sure if that was in response to my or not, but in case it was… I think everyone should keep an eye out for sites that break the rules -- porn, pharmacy, etc. That's good for the network as a whole. We need to keep the junk out in order to keep the network in tiptop shape. What I don't think we should do is report or complain about sites that we think are "spam", unless they are flagrantly breaking the rules. As I posted before, one mans trash is another mans treasure. Just because I think something is "spammy" doesn’t mean it is - I put my faith in the DP review team to do what's best for the network. I watch the ads on my site for things that break the rules but haven't seen any ads yet that I have felt compelled to report. You have to have some faith/trust in the coop review team, and, understand that the network seems to be constantly evolving and improving. There will be bumps in the road along the way but I trust that the coop team will continue to help improve the quality of the ads and sites allowed in the network. The coop isn't for everyone. That's up to each webmaster to decide.
