I spent $1,000 on Adbrite, and the quality of traffic is terrible. Is there any alternative to that and Adwords?

I never had good results with Adbrite until I began working directly with a rep.

Contact Kristin (kristin[at]adbrite [d0t]com) or Kevin (kevin[at]adbrite [d0t]com) - they will help you set your campaigns up too perfection.

FWIW, my best ROI comes from Adbrite. Just like every other PPC agency, though, you need to find what works with it and what doesn't. Using the same approach that you would with Adwords or YPN isn't going to work with Adbrite.

Even though my campains are optimized well, I agree that the quality of traffic has really dropped off in the last 2 weeks for some reason. Things I have had running for 2 months with consistent results have just absolutely gone dead recently.

Last week I spent $10 on Uzoogle games to promote a freebie site and the results were just horrible.

AdBrite recorded 114 clicks, but Google Analytics only counted 38 visits with page views at exactly 1.0?

The majority of the traffic is suppose to come from the US, yet I haven't made a single commission giving stuff away (which is pretty easy normally).

Sometimes it makes me wonder where this traffic comes from.

Adbrite isn't bad as long as you take time and do your research. It is like any other program and if you just jump into it you won't make it very far. You have to be smart on where and how you advertise. The representatives are very helpful also at trying to maximize your return and will help you as best as they can. Good luck to everyone!

I haven't advertised on Adbrite in about 6 months. It sounds like I made a good choice. When I did advertise with them my results weren't great, I was probably breaking even.

I spent over $400 on adbrite advertising, and it only showed I had about 200 clicks.... I mean wtf is adbrite doing? Its probably the worst advertising site on the net because the only sites that use them are illegal warez sites!

guys - proper site targetting, and the use of an ad rep will make it outperform Adsense or other sites.

Seriously, my highest ROI comes from adbrite. Just don't throw money at it, and expect it to work - it is an art unto itself.

I'm with you Caydel. Adbrite has outperformed any other method for me. I am getting around a x 1.8 return on my investment.

You just need to shop it properly, find the best sites for your niche and test them prior to a lengthly, expensive purchase.

I have started filtering a lot of my adbrite traffic and geotargetting it. I wish they allowed you to filter ads on their end for site buys. You can do it for the network but not per site and that can leave you with some pretty bad traffic, especially if you are targeting the US, for example.

It takes some work to find good traffic in there, but it can be found.
