I need to backup my wordpress website. I do not have server access just admin login for wordpress website. Is there an easy, fast way to back up the entire website to my HD incase the server were to go down and I needed to re-upload onto another server? If not what is the best way to backup, copy the HTML code on each page? Help appreciated.
Thanks Richie_Ni! Will this back up everything including images, text, HTML, if my server webt down could I use this to start afresh? Much appreciated!
Umm,I don't think so.I just moved my blog from one host to another and it seemed that the sql file includes everything needed.(even the login details, your preferences) But you know the images are stored in your server,so.... If you have changed something in the templates, they are saved in your server as well(not mysql).
Wow, not even a ftp access? That must be suck. BTW, if the wp-content folder is writable, you can copy the source from Presentation-> Theme Editor
Any easier way to copy the entire website with just admin login? I do not have server access. Zeo: Are you saying that if I copy the source from the Theme Editor I will have a copy of the website layout?
pieman_fellis, yes. All the files listed on the right of Theme Editor page is your website layout. If the directory is writeable, you can even edit the template.
