The Windows data recovery software can recover lost, deleted, and formatted files, folders, partitions, databases, emails, pictures, music and video files from any Windows based system. Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery v4.2 supports data recovery from NTFS, FAT and exFAT files systems.

You cant find any free software for data recovery, you can free download the software and just check your deleted files or folders but cant recover them in this case you need to buy the software or you need to get help from data recovery services company.

EASEUS backup software is good for system state, partition and the whole disk backup. Disk Copy is quite stable and safe.
I found todo backup 2.0 beta is doing public test, and I'm trying the beta version. Hope it more powerful.

i think MOZY is better its a online file backup system and its so popular.otherwise they take some little charge for that.
if you are using gigabyte mother board then chk your motherboard cd sometime they brings free back up cds.

Backup tool is coming with windows Vista and windows 7, but not with windows XP or Me. So these backup tools is still useful to others. beside not everyone loves to use windows products.

Acronis is good. Backup Exec has gotten so fat that it is a dog now. I use rbs (remote backup software) to take my data to an offsite server. Cheap insurance that pays for itself when you lose a hard drive.

Back up tool comes free with Windows works great, so why pay when having a free service option?
