i think there is a built-in option for making up the backup for wordpress... the plugin needs to be activate and it is pre installed, i use that one....there are also other plugins available on wordpress site,

    Hi,

I use Hostgator, but I think most hosting sites have a cpanel facility to back up your files and database. That is what I use. I back it up every day. The backup option that comes with Wordpress is also O.K. Also, your hosting site may be taking its own backups on a daily basis. You should check it out.
