Backup an Addon Domain

I have just sold a website, the domain was transfered sucessfully.
But I usually sent over a backup file of the site to the buyer.

The domain I sold is an addon domain in my account, from my host, I am suppose to download the filter and then sent it over.
The buyer kept telling me the file is empty, Im not sure if they even tried to backup the file, since they won't answer my questions but tell me the file is empty.

Is there another way to do it or what am I doing wrong?

Yes. Have a look at the file you sent them. If it's empty, you've got a problem. If it's not, tell them you can help at $XX per hour support.

It should not be empty, the file isn't empty they just told me the file should be bigger.

They did not respond to my question if they even tried backing it up.
And I don't think I will tell them the second line. I asked my host about this and they said it is the only way to backup an addon domain. Through filter.

I meant that you should try to do the restore yourself. Then you'll know if the problem is with the file you sent them, or if they just don't know what they're doing.

I can't do it myself, they are one big corporation, like they said and obviously would not let me go into their cpanel.

Anyways Im looking for advice on how to restore a file or some other way to download this backup not anything else.
