Backordering Domains

    Hey guys,

I'm looking to backorder a domain, but I've never done it before. Where would the best place to do this be? Also, I looked at namejet and their price is $69 minimum bid. Are then any cheaper places.

Are there any hidden costs with backordering domains?
If someone bids higher then me, do I get the amount I bid back?

    Thanks.

I think namedotcom is cheaper, they charge $49.

Anyone else knows more cheaper please share.

You can backorder at snapnames as well (starts at $59) and you can do a backorder through Godaddy ($18.99 I think).
Success rate is highest though with snapnames and namejet.

When you backorder with namejet and snapnames you don't actually pay anything until they actually successfully caught the domain for you. With Godaddy you pay in advance, if they don't catch the name they won't give you your money back but you will be able to use this backorder for another domain of your choice.

Keep in mind that if other people backorder the same domain it will go to auction and most likely if the domain is any good a bid war will start.

If you want to secure the domain name, and you think that other people might have their eyes on it. I will recommend you snapnames and namejet. They will most likely be to the first to snatch it for you and that's why they are little bit higher than name dot com, godaddy, etc...
    Good luck.

I would recommend you to backorder your domains using Name.com and Godaddy.com since their backorder prices are less than Snapnames and Namejet :)
