Hey, They say it costs $18.99 or something similar when backordering on GoDaddy. If the current owner of the domain name renews the domain name, does that $18.99 have to be used for backordering other domain names or can you get it refunded? Also do any of you have any experience with backordering with GoDaddy? And if so how did it go? Thanks, Hodge
If a backordered domain becomes available, but our service fails to acquire it, you can monitor another domain by reassigning the backordering account to another domain. In the event of an unsuccessful acquisition attempt, DomainAlert Backordering notifies you by email message. You can then apply the backordering service to another domain.
I use it some myself. It works pretty good and I usually get about every 3rd or 4th one I try for. It won't get the high profile domains typically but one good method I'm starting to figure out is to look who is the current registrar holding an expired domain you want. If it is GoDaddy or similiar you will have much more success on getting that drop than if it were registered with NetSol (aka SNAPNAMES).
Backordering at Godaddy is good for nothing, try snapnames or Pool.com instead, they cost more but they have very high chances of getting domains IT
i had done it once, and i lost my money, was like $20-25 snapnames is better, but minimum amount is $60 there + if some one else counter bids then you have to bid more, depends on the domain name and your luck to grab deleted domain names
I've tried backordering domain names with BlueRazor.com (a GoDaddy subsidiary). Every domain that I backorder were either registered at GoDaddy or BlueRazor but have had no luck so far. I also backorder domain names at SnapNames and have won a few but they cost a lot more because of the competition. If you have a name in mind that you really want, I would suggest that you place a backorder at Snap. They are very good at catching domain names especially the ones registered at Network Solutions.
