    I am using bluebacklinks.com for checking the backlinks. My experience of using this site is very good. You must try this also.

    Google won't help much if you want to analyze the back links for a competitor, you must prove you own the site.

    Try ahrefs.com which has a free option for evaluation and light usage, and paid options for heavier usage.

    I have used backlinkwatch.com for years. It is free, ad-supported like Google :) but it does go down sometimes :(

    There other good alternatives, but most of the better ones are $49 per month or more.

    Even i am also observe that backlinkwatch.com is down from last few days. Anyhow, you can use google webmaster tool to check backlinks as an alternative.

    Bcklinkwatch show the backlinks with the help of yahoo explorer and now yahoo explorer is closed so backlink watch autmatically stop of showing backlinks.

    No problem dude when backlinkwatch don’t drive fine then you can try ahrefs dot com and hope you with happy with this new free back link tools.

    Backlinwatch is not accessible but you can check your backlinks from the GWA but unfortunately it will not show any thirds party site links.

    I use http://www.ranksignals.com , its a free and easy backlink checker. RankSignals is actually much better than backlinkwatch.

    I hated that site anyway, with the annoying flashing popup. You can use Majesticseo.com for free (you have to create an account though) and even though they only show you 10 results for a free account, you can search unlimited times unlike Ahrefs or any other service I've found
