For the past couple of days, I have been getting a number of backlinks from websites related to mine. How long does it usually take would you say for Google to find out all of these backlinks and update my pagerank would you say?

Your back links are index with one week, and PR is comes on when updation of google.

 

It is better to just do your daily SEO then to count it.

Google counts back links that is more than 1 week to a month.

I think it depends on the frequency of Google craws the websites where your back links come from. Google toolbar is freshed every three month in average.
