Does anybody know how to find out the precise number of backlinks linking to your site?

Use your API key in a tool like the DP Keyword Tracker to know for sure.

Considering you offer SEO services I'm quite amazed about the sort of questions you ask.

 

I use this tool http://www.uptimebot.com/sql/one.php Not sure exactly how accurate it is, but it's nice to see the numbers steadily rise each time you check.

whats wrong about not knowing how to show backlinks? I don't think that counts as SEO!

I know the google link thing but I was just seeing if anyone had any other tools thats all

Yea thats funny... a lot of people that offer SEO services probably come to this forum to get instructions once they get a client.

For some reason link:yoursite.com doesn't always show results, just today i checked with this kind of search and it showed nothing and with the @:yoursite.com search i got 47 backlinks...the world according to google

 

I just had a read of this and it raises some good points. In my experience MSN seems to pick up a lot of coop links which you may not see on google.
