backlinks

    hi

    must backlinks be in the same niche as your site?

    say i have a site i want highly ranked for the keyword "cats" should i only therefore get backlinks on cats or animal related websites, or does google etc not care as long as the place where the backlink is has a good PR

    Backlinks that relate to your site have more effect. Try to get back links from same type of sites you will be better off.

    + one way links from webdirectorys and article directorys
