Backlinks ???

What are backlinks and how do they have an effect on a domain ?

IM a nerd and really dunno wat is a backlink.

Backlinks are the links to your domain which are on other sites on the Internet. These links possibly bring traffic to your site and therefore the more backlinks a domain has, the more value it has.

 

how do i increase my backlinks ?

 

First of all, put links to your sites into your signature on all forums that you're active in. Then you can buy links on other sites, submit your site(s) to (free) directories, etc.

 

Ask for a trade in links from of sites that are in common with yours. Remember most links are good to have, but try to focus on getting links in areas that relate to your site.

 

Submit to LD.

 

A domain with links should be worth a bit more than a domain without.
It depends on why the person is buying the domain.
IF they are buying a ranked domain to save time, then yes.
Sometimes the links may be the only thing that makes it of value.
