I have a classifieds ads site and wondered if anyone, knows of any quality sites i could get backlinks from, i only really want quality backlinks (don t we all) but im new to this so all help appreciated. thanks in advance.
This is very subjective. Look around DP and a lot of suggestions for links are crappy ones (mostly spam suggestions). Really, the best type of links are natural and organic (this means ones you did not make or pay for, ones that were made because the person liked your page). Well, I actually just read a good article that looked at different types of links: http://searchengineland.com/what-everyone-needs-to-know-about-good-bad-bland-links-129186 And this is one of the best articles about links: http://searchengineland.com/link-building-means-earning-hard-links-not-easy-links-123767 It will help you understand why crap link strategies eventually fail. With the niche you're in (no offence, but it's a bit boring and not exciting like a music shop, for example) and how you make revenue (adsense ads), it's not so simple as it could be if you have a scaled pricing system for listing ads. You could for example have a promotion for customers from Queensland wanting to list premium ads - 75% off for one week - and try to get a write up in local news/blogs. Or maybe a seller doing an exclusive deal for some products just through you. You could have a blog and add some guides, such as buying and selling online (good tips, things to avoid, etc) or making the most from a classified ad (in general, not just when listing on your site). Make the content a bit interesting (if you're witty and creative) in order to encourage people to link to you. Try to think local, build contacts and business relationships locally too. In terms of buyers and sellers. Good luck.
Try getting backlinks from mixed sources while maintaining the strength of the quality backlinks/relevant backlinks much higher. Get social bookmarking if not done yet.
What a "useful" and vague message. FYI, Google caught on to the fact that Social Bookmarking was being abused (spammed) long ago, hence it's far from "quality". One final thing I forgot to mention before: take advantage of Facebook (and other social media), especially once you have some interesting content (on a blog) or unique/funny items for sale (that you could promote, always be respectful to your customer though). It could also be a way of making connections with local newspapers, suppliers, etc. Actively engage in their page (likes, comments, etc) and build up a rapport. SEOmoz (main blog and YOUmoz) has good ideas for creating content people like to share, increasing your social following, etc, without the need to turn to spamming or creating fake profiles.
for backlink you should do off-page seo like directory.social bookmarking, blog commenting, blog, article submission etc
For me, my website i have just done some manual link building, creating blog and let your blog do the backlinks and let google index your blog. Include your best keywords, and you should have a good result. And focus firt on one keyword like what I did, I only focus to my keyword. Also try stumbleupon, It generates a lot of traffic.
Hi, I appreciate your concern about quality backlinks. I have over 20+ sites and always use the link in my signature....its worth looking at! Hope that helps!
