Backlinks

Google Webmaster Tools says I have close to 700 backlinks, good quality, a couple of .edu's.

I'm still PR0 and my SERPS haven't changed in months.

I have so many great backlinks, my site is optimized amazingly, but nothing is happening. What can I do?

Backlinks are incoming links to a website. For example, a site with a lot of backlinks implies that many other sites link to that site.

    Hi,

In my own experiences, contextual dofollowed backlinks from niche relative authority sources would be more helpful for PR than backlinks from .edu or .gov domains.
Also, using original page contents and updating your sites regularly would be more essential in having a nicer PR.

    Merry Xmas,

I have noticed that your PR doesn't really influnce on the place your site has on the search result page. There are some sites with PR0 that have 5-10 places. Yes, be patient and give Google some time to estimate your site. Keep working, making more dofollow links.

Google updates the PR every few times in a year. It hasn't done since last 6 months. So keep on getting good quality links and wait for Google's next update.

The reason why your SERP maybe hasn't changed is because of the Anchor text of your incoming backlinks.

A link from an EDU has much more trust than a .com, Give people the correct infomation.

congrats on 700 backlinks op. Try to scale the backlinks up so you are ready for the next pagerank update. well done and it should not be too long to wait until google do an update

Continue what you are doing and wait for an update. Don't count on pr update, but serp update will still happen.
